“Movement” was realised for BRDG, a public art project in a railway passage in the city of Antwerp. Artists are invited to intervene in or interact with the space.
The work observes the movement of passers-by as a performative act – directed by the shape of the passage and its location in the city. In order to emphasise this I introduced a sculptural shape. A geometric object that resembles an architectural element. This object was moved around during the course of the exhibition, influencing or guiding the movement of passers-by and their perception of a space they are familiar with.
